Carpe Diem
For some time now your management committee has expended considerable time focusing on non football issues and too little time on the performance and development of our teams and club as a whole. The committee has unanimously agreed that this has to change and that a long term strategy is required. This strategy will be implemented using the headline principles listed below as a starting point. To run a minimum of TWO Saturday sides and plan for a third.
· The reserve side (or 3rd XI if numbers permit) will become the clubs development side. The emphasis will be on establishing a side which will have last seasons graduating U16's at its heart, and will want to attract U16 graduates and other ambitious young players in future years.
· We will seek to develop our coaching capability through formal FA coaching courses..
· We will be introducing a stricter signing on process for the 2008/09 season, see the enclosed leaflet.
· We will continue to pursue those who owe us money. Debtors from prior seasons will NOT be signed on until those debts are cleared. Other debtors will be pursued.
· We will implement the club's code of conduct in all matters relating to both on and off field conduct. We will participate in the FA’s “Respect” campaign, rule changes to the clubs code of conduct have been made following our AGM.
· We will improve communication between the committee, managers, and players and throughout the club generally. Look out for our new web site at www.pgfc.info
· We will introduce some success criteria against which we can measure our progress and input into our decision-making.
· We will continue to strengthen our relationship with all levels of the Junior club.
